Verdict of Judge Mykola Shershak
Judge Mykola Shershak of the Zarichny District Court of Sumy received 7 years of imprisonment for receiving illegal benefits. The verdict entered into force after the panel of judges of the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court upheld the decision of the HACC, made on September 18, 2024, on January 14, 2026.
Mykola Shershak was found guilty of a criminal offense related to corrupt actions. In addition to imprisonment, the verdict also includes:
- Deprivation of the right to hold positions in the judiciary for 3 years;
- Confiscation of all property owned by him.
The ruling of the Appellate Chamber of the HACC comes into legal effect from the moment of its pronouncement and can be appealed to the Supreme Court.
