Priest-warrior Yuriy Volyk died in battle: the Hero will be honored in Trostyanets

On Thursday, August 14, the residents of Trostyanets in the Sumy region will be able to honor the memory of the fallen Hero Yuriy Volyk, born in 1989. The farewell will take place at the Ascension Church, and the Hero will be buried at the cemetery on 93 Brigade Street (Lunina).

Priest of the OCU Roman Hryshchuk mentioned that Yuriy Volyk was a priest of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and died in a shooting battle while protecting his comrades.

Hero Yuriy Volyk participated in the defense of the country and suffered a fatal wound during the shooting battle. His relatives, friends, and comrades will honor the memory of the Hero who made an incredible sacrifice for peace and security.

This tragic event reminds us of the tremendous contribution of Ukrainian defenders in protecting the country from external threats.
