Verdict of the Svyatoshynsky Court
The Svyatoshynsky Court of Kyiv sentenced a 32-year-old native of Kherson region to 13 years in prison for robbery and the murder of an 83-year-old woman. This criminal offense occurred in November 2022, when the woman, seeking help, asked the accused to set up SMS banking.
During this visit, according to the investigation, the man strangled the woman and robbed her. The murder caused a wide public outcry because the victim was an elderly woman who needed assistance. The court, having considered all the circumstances of the case, made a decision on the long-term imprisonment of the accused, reflecting the seriousness of the committed crime.
