NBA player of the 'Utah Jazz' Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk shared his thoughts on the relationships within the Ukrainian basketball national team, expressing dissatisfaction with the public insults aimed at players. This information was reported by 'Hlavkom' citing Base of Ukrainian sports.



During the pre-qualification for the 2027 World Championship, Mykhailiuk missed the Ukranian national team game due to injuries. The team's coach, Ainars Bagatskis, expressed disappointment with some players who did not respond to calls and did not come to training camps.



«I am always ready to play for the national team, but I do not want to work with those who publicly insulted their teammates. Humiliation does not help the team unite; on the contrary, it destroys the atmosphere in the team,» emphasized Mykhailiuk.


The player also stressed that public confrontations harm the team rather than help. The Ukrainian national basketball team advanced to the next round, defeating Slovakia and Switzerland.
