Швеція надасть Україні винищувачі Gripen та допомогу в розмінуванні морських територій після завершення конфлікту.

Sweden will provide Ukraine with Gripen fighters

Sweden will provide Ukraine with Gripen fighters and resources for demining the Black Sea after signing a peace agreement with Russia. This was stated by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson during a meeting of the 'coalition of the willing' leaders that took place on January 6 in Paris.

Ulf Kristersson confirmed Sweden's readiness to facilitate security guarantees for Ukraine and the rest of Europe, provided a peace agreement is reached. He emphasized the importance of clear rules for the deployment of multinational forces and official approval by the parliament. Specifically, Sweden plans to provide Gripen fighters for aerial surveillance over Ukraine, as well as maritime resources for demining the Black Sea.

International cooperation and support for Ukraine

The participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the meeting confirms the importance of international cooperation in ensuring security. The statement 'Reliable security guarantees for a robust and lasting peace in Ukraine' has become an important step in strengthening strategic ties between countries. Thus, Sweden demonstrates its readiness to support Ukraine in the post-war period, including continuing the training of Ukrainian military officers.

This agreement highlights the growing support for Ukraine from European countries, which can significantly impact security in the region. Gripen fighters and resources for demining the Black Sea are important elements that not only enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities but also signal the international community's willingness to actively support the country in its aspirations for peace and stability.
