The aviation coalition has called on Sweden to temporarily refrain from transferring Gripen fighters to Ukraine to avoid problems with the operation and maintenance of different types of aircraft simultaneously. This was reported to the department with a comment from Sweden's Minister of Defense, Paul Jonsson, in the magazine 'Military'.

Swedish Gripen fighters may complicate the operation of Ukrainian aviation, as the simultaneous use of three types of combat aircraft, F-16, Mirage, and Gripen, currently hinders the work of Ukrainian pilots. 'Introducing three types of combat aircraft at the same time would be quite difficult,' the minister explained at a briefing at NATO.

Despite the expected delivery of new Gripen fighters to Ukraine, the aviation coalition advises to refrain from this step for now and focus on the implementation of the available AWACS aircraft. Ukraine has expressed interest in acquiring Gripen, but has not yet put forward specific timelines or models of aircraft. Details on this issue remain open.

Ukraine is expecting the delivery of new Gripen fighters, but for now, it is more important to avoid complications in operating different types of aircraft simultaneously.
