World Illuminated in Ukrainian Colors
As the world marked the fourth anniversary of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, solidarity events were held across the globe. Marches, rallies, exhibitions, and symbolic demonstrations in numerous countries served as powerful displays of support for the Ukrainian people and their struggle for sovereignty.
International Demonstrations of Support
In Brussels, the central square was illuminated in the blue and yellow of the Ukrainian flag. Ankara saw the unfurling of a 170-meter-long Ukrainian flag bearing the faces of captured and missing defenders. Across Canada, commemorations and support events took place in more than 50 cities. Hundreds marched in solidarity through the streets of Lisbon and Rome, voicing their unwavering support for Ukraine.
Deputy Minister for Social Policy, Family, and European Integration, Ilona Havronska, joined a demonstration in Berlin during a working visit to Germany, emphasizing the critical importance of sustained international backing. Solidarity actions were also recorded in many other nations, including:
