The police of Kyiv announced that the taxi driver who attacked the honored artist of Ukraine has been charged. The incident occurred on June 30 in Pechersk, the capital. According to the police, the singer, who used taxi services, contacted law enforcement, claiming that the driver assaulted her during a conflict and then fled.
Arrest and charge
The police quickly identified the driver and detained him. The 63-year-old Kyiv resident has been charged with intentional minor bodily harm under the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He may face punishment in accordance with the law. Antonina Matviyenko explained that the driver was aggressive and unpleasant even before the trip began.
