The frontman of the band «Antytila» Taras Topolya commented on his divorce from Olena Topolya after 12 years of marriage and revealed for the first time what influenced this decision. He shared this in the project "Eyes to Eyes".
The artist confirmed that he was the initiator of filing the court application, but the decision to part ways was mutual. According to him, one of the factors was the war, which significantly changed the lives of both.
Taras Topolya's divorce: what was the reason
The singer directly stated that the events in the country affected their relationship:
the war changed the couple's life
circumstances beyond their personal control influenced the decision
the divorce was agreed upon, despite Topolya's formal initiative.
«The war affected all life, both mine, Olena's, and millions of Ukrainians. We do not live in a vacuum», — said the artist.
At the same time, he avoided answering questions about his feelings for his ex-wife.

Taras Topolya emphasized that he is actively involved in raising the children and maintains close relationships with them. The couple has three children:
son Roman (12 years old)
son Marko (10 years old)
daughter Maria (5 years old).
The artist stressed that he does not regret the decision made:
«My conscience does not torment me regarding how our divorce happened and how I fulfill my duties as a father».
The couple announced their breakup last December. Before this, they were considered one of the strongest in the Ukrainian show business.
