Starting August 1, Lviv will change the cost of centralized water supply and sewage. The new tariff will be 56.38 hryvnias per cubic meter. With average consumption, a household's bill may increase by 92–275 hryvnias per month. This is reported by the Lviv City Council.
How much Lviv residents will pay for water from August 1, 2026
After the increase, each cubic meter of consumed water will cost 56.38 hryvnias. The final amount on the bill will depend on the meter readings or established consumption norms.
The local authorities provided two examples of calculations:

for the consumption of 3 cubic meters, the bill will increase by approximately 92 hryvnias;

for the consumption of 9 cubic meters, the amount will increase by approximately 275 hryvnias.
According to the new tariff, 3 cubic meters of water will cost about 169 hryvnias. If a household uses 9 cubic meters, the monthly payment will be approximately 507 hryvnias.
Thus, economical use of water will have a noticeable impact on the family budget. The difference of six cubic meters will mean about 338 hryvnias in additional expenses per month.
Why the water tariff is increasing in Lviv
The previous cost of water supply and sewage in Lviv was reviewed in 2022. Since then, the prices for electricity, reagents, fuel, repair materials, and wages have increased for the Lviv Water Utility.
The city council explained that the current tariff no longer covered the company's expenses. Additional revenue will be directed to maintain the operation of the networks, purchase necessary materials, and carry out repairs.
The city authorities claim that even after the revision, the tariff will remain one of the lowest in Ukraine. Families unable to pay for utilities on their own can apply for state housing subsidies.
