Electricity tariffs will rise, while employees' salaries will decrease

Energy expert Oleg Popenko reported that 'Ukrenergo' tariffs for electricity transmission will double from 2022 to 2025. At the same time, the salaries of ordinary company employees turned out to be lower than the average in the industry, according to the State Audit Office of Ukraine.

Popenko emphasized that Ukrainians are financing large payments to the management of 'Ukrenergo' through increased tariffs. He noted that the population's debt for utility services has already exceeded 106 billion hryvnias, and people cannot cope with rising prices.

'All the money that 'Ukrenergo' has is paid by us from our pockets,' - the expert emphasized.

According to official data, the salaries of dispatchers, foremen, and electricians of 'Ukrenergo' turned out to be lower than in the industry on average, amid rising bonuses for the management apparatus from 22 million hryvnias to a billion hryvnias.

'This tariff cost includes all those billions of hryvnias that were paid to experts and management,' - explained Popenko.

The expert also highlighted the problem with the quality of drinking water in Ukraine, noting that the government has lowered the quality requirements for water due to financial difficulties. He also warned about a possible rise in heating prices for consumers due to a conflict of interest in tariff control.

Summary:
The energy expert warns of rising electricity tariffs and decreasing salaries of employees at 'Ukrenergo'. He notes that this may lead to further increases in the population's debts and threaten the quality of utility services in the country.
