Military Recruitment Centers Illegally Direct Servicemen to Repeat Military Medical Commission: What to Do

Військові комісії безпідставно змушують військовослужбовців проходити повторні медичні обстеження: як реагувати на цю ситуацію?

The Problem of Illegal Directives of Servicemen to the Military Medical Commission

In Ukraine, there are cases where military recruitment centers (TCK) illegally direct servicemen to a repeat military medical commission (VLC) immediately after the previous examination is completed. This is a violation of current legislation, as the resolutions of the VLC during martial law remain valid for one year. In particular, the serviceman received a new summons for the VLC on the day the previous examination was completed.

Lawyer Yuriy Aivazyan drew attention to this issue, noting that the actions of TCK in this case are a direct violation of the procedure.

In light of these situations, it is recommended for servicemen to take certain measures to protect their rights:

  • Submit a complaint to the regional military recruitment center (OTCK).
  • Contact the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for additional information and assistance.

These actions can help avoid further illegal practices and ensure the protection of the rights of servicemen.

The Importance of Legal Protection for Servicemen

This situation underscores the importance of upholding the rights of servicemen in the conditions of martial law in Ukraine. Illegal actions by the TCK can lead to serious consequences for servicemen, so their legal awareness becomes critically important. Authorities and relevant bodies must pay attention to these violations to ensure the legal protection of citizens who fulfill their duty to the country.
