Body cameras for TCC representatives: new usage rules

Before the start of notification events, TCC representatives must warn citizens that they will be photographed and filmed. This news was reported by

"Glavkom"
, citing the words of people's deputy Oleksandr Fedienko.

The latter received clarification from the Ministry of Defense regarding the proper wearing of body cameras by TCC employees. According to the new requirements, these cameras must be attached to the uniform clothing on the chest of the military or installed in such a way as to record video.

"If you notice that a TCC representative is wearing a body camera on their belt, in their pocket, or it is turned off, this is a violation of current legislation. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine issued an order on 06.08.2024 under number 532"
, – noted Fedienko.

It is noted that before the start of notifications, a TCC representative must turn on the camera. It is also important to ensure that the date and time settings on the device are correct.

Mandatory use of body cameras for TCC representatives

"The portable video recorder must be turned on at the moment the authorized representatives begin to perform their official duties related to notifying citizens or checking their documents. Filming continues constantly during the performance of tasks, except in situations where it is necessary to protect military facilities or confidential information, or in cases when a representative needs personal private time (visiting the restroom, lunch break, etc.)"
, – the deputy said.

From September 1, the use of body cameras has become mandatory for TCC representatives and SPs working in notification groups. This decision is intended to ensure transparency and legality in mobilization, as well as to increase the accountability of all participants in this process.
