Telemedicine Saved Lives During Shelling: How Doctors Helped Remotely

The Importance of Telemedicine During War

Telemedicine plays a crucial role in saving lives during war, especially under enemy shelling conditions in Donetsk. Recently, one civilian sustained serious injuries due to shelling. At the scene were soldiers from the 156th brigade who provided first aid.

The commander of the medical platoon of the National Police brigade 'Rage', known by the call sign 'Kara', reported that the man survived thanks to remote assistance from medics. This underscores the importance of telemedicine in modern conflicts, where quick and effective medical assistance can be decisive for saving lives.

Technology in Medical Care

The use of telemedicine in combat zones demonstrates how technology can significantly improve medical care, particularly in crisis situations. It ensures not only timely assistance but also the ability to consult with specialists, which can be critically important for the injured.

Against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, such innovations could be key to improving healthcare in war conditions.
