Extension of the duration of basic military training
It is planned to extend the duration of basic military training to 51 days so that servicemen receive additional training in countering enemy strike drones. This was reported by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky explained that the quality training of military personnel is of great importance for the effectiveness of combat operations and saving lives. 'This is one of the innovations in the program of basic military training that we are currently completing. We are developing skills in the rear of brigades and enhancing the training of servicemen, which is an important element of their readiness for combat,' he noted.
According to him, work is also being done to protect training centers from enemy airstrikes. Shelters and other protective structures are being built for the safety of servicemen during exercises.
'My task is to ensure the safety of servicemen during exercises. All measures must be directed towards this. Any negligence in this matter is unacceptable!' - the general emphasized.
Tasks for improving training
The Commander-in-Chief also outlined tasks for improving training. One of them is to assign army corps to training battalions as part of military unit training centers. Major General Ihor Skibiyuk, who has been appointed to a new position, will be responsible for this.
