Timofiy Mylovanov's International Conference Appearance

At a major international conference in London, Timofiy Mylovanov, President of the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) and former Minister of Economic Development, drew significant attention for his unconventional choice of footwear. The event was a joint conference organized by the Kyiv School of Economics and the British government, sparking lively discussions across social media platforms.

Mylovanov wore a pair of HOKA Restore shoes, which retail for €119 (approximately 6,100 UAH) on the brand's official website. Similar models from the brand range in price from €50 to €200 (2,000 to 10,000 UAH). The chosen model bears a resemblance to summer shoes by Crocs, and Mylovanov completed his look with a pair of red socks. This sartorial choice became a subject of online jokes, with users particularly commenting on the style of the shoes and their combination with the socks.

Engagement on the International Stage

Beyond his conference participation, Timofiy Mylovanov has formally requested an extraordinary meeting of the supervisory board of Energoatom, Ukraine's nuclear power operator. Prior to his London trip, he was in Germany participating in a scientific conference focused on financing and rebuilding Ukraine. His active international presence underscores the critical importance of Ukraine's economic development and international support amidst ongoing global challenges. As a prominent economist, Mylovanov frequently represents Ukraine at high-level international forums.

This incident and Mylovanov's fashion choice highlight not only his personal style but also the significance of communication and engagement with the international community regarding Ukraine's economic future.

Participation in such conferences and an active stance in international discussions demonstrate that Ukrainian experts are working to draw global attention to the nation's pressing issues and to seek collaborative solutions.
