The situation with Timur Mindich
Timur Mindich, a businessman, is being suspected in absentia of potential corruption at the state enterprise 'Energoatom'. The businessman, who is a citizen of Israel, is currently in that country, where he claims to be under pressure and facing a media campaign against him. In November 2025, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) announced their suspicion against Mindich in this case.
Mindich's position
Mindich is also known as a co-owner of the production studio 'Kvartal 95'. He emphasized that he is under pressure due to the situation he finds himself in.
“I am in Israel, I moved my family and I am under great pressure,” - noted the businessman. In his statement, he also expressed concern over being “attributed a million things”.
Alexander Tsukerman, another figure in the case, is also in Israel; however, Mindich stressed that he has “very rarely communicated with him and has not had any contact at all recently.”
“Give it time,” - he added, calling for patience in this difficult situation.
The situation surrounding Timur Mindich could significantly impact the business environment in Ukraine, as corruption scandals often lead to decreased investor trust and can affect the reputation of other enterprises in the area. The further development of the case may reveal new details regarding the functioning of state enterprises and their interaction with private companies, which requires close attention from society and law enforcement agencies.
