Thousands of Ukrainians Ran in Memory of Fallen Defenders on Soldier's Day

On Defender's Day, participants of the annual run 'Honoring Warriors, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine' took to the distances in many cities of the country. From children to veterans, military personnel, and volunteers - thousands of people honored the memory of fallen heroes. This information was reported by 'Glavkom'.


About 600 people participated in Cherkasy. The head of the Cherkassy OVA, Igor Taburets, emphasized that every step is a sign of respect. 'We are a nation of fighters, we always give everything, we support each other,' said Taburets.



In Mykolaiv, hundreds of people gathered in the main square of the city. Participants of the run received numbers and honored the memory of the fallen heroes. The first deputy mayor, Vitalii Lukov, also took part in the event.



In Kropyvnytskyi, a record number of participants - 350. The head of the regional youth and sports department, Andrii Shchetin, emphasized that this year they managed to gather more participants, although the number of fallen heroes has increased.



In Transcarpathia, over 1400 people joined the run. The head of the Transcarpathian OVA, Myroslav Biletskyi, ran during the event in honor of the Unknown Hero, expressing his respect and memory.



Participants of the run in many cities of Ukraine honored the memory of fallen heroes during the annual event 'Honoring Warriors, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine'. This is a symbolic expression of respect and gratitude for the courage and sacrifice of the defenders of the country, which united thousands of people in their memory.
