Mykola Tyshchenko on Relationships with Ex-Wives and Son
Mykola Tyshchenko has opened up about his dynamic with his former wives and his son, David. He explained that staying connected with the boy is challenging because David does not live in Kyiv, while Tyshchenko’s work keeps him mostly in the capital. Despite the distance, he continues to pay child support. Tyshchenko also emphasized that he makes an effort to maintain positive communication with all of his ex-wives, stating:
'I have good relationships with almost all of my ex-wives, like any mature, well-established person. I advise everyone to stay on good terms with their ex-wives, because children should grow up surrounded by love.' Mykola Tyshchenko
Tyshchenko married Alla Baranovska in late 2016. The couple had a son, David, who turned nine in February. They lived together for roughly seven years before filing for divorce in November 2023, with the marriage officially dissolved in 2024. One key factor in the split was that they were living in different cities, as Baranovska also resides outside of Kyiv.
The Importance of Family Communication
Tyshchenko noted that maintaining a close bond with his son is difficult due to the geographical distance:
'It’s hard to communicate because he doesn’t live in Kyiv. These days, most of my work is tied to Kyiv. When there’s a chance, we see each other. Right now, that opportunity isn’t there.' Mykola Tyshchenko
He also dismissed rumors that the divorce was a sham, stressing that both sides are committed to fostering a healthy relationship for the sake of their child.
This situation highlights how crucial communication and mutual support remain within a family, even after a marriage ends. A strong understanding between parents can significantly affect a child’s emotional well-being, especially during and after a divorce. Tyshchenko’s call for maintaining good ties with ex-spouses could serve as a model for other parents navigating similar circumstances.
As Tyshchenko navigates his relationship with David, it's important to consider how other divorced parents manage similar challenges. For instance, the co-parenting strategies of Olena and Taras Topolia offer valuable insights into maintaining family bonds despite separation. Their experiences highlight the significance of effective communication and collaboration in raising children after a divorce.
