Russian goalkeeper of the football team 'Bodø/Glimt' Mykyta Haikin will soon obtain Norwegian citizenship. He is currently completing the naturalization process and is expected to become a holder of a Norwegian passport at the beginning of next year. This is reported by 'Glavkom'.

According to Russian propagandists, all necessary documents have already been submitted by Haikin and are in the final stage of consideration, with only a test of Norwegian language proficiency remaining, after which the procedure will be completed.

The footballer has already expressed a desire to play for the Norwegian national team, and the national federation is waiting for all paperwork to be completed in order to send him an official invitation. Obtaining the passport will also change his status in the Norwegian championship, as he will cease to be considered a foreign player after naturalization.

The process of obtaining citizenship for Haikin was simplified because he is married to a Norwegian citizen and has already lived in the country for 6 years. Haikin is a four-time champion of Norway in football.

In the match between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, the score ended in a draw 1:1 (0:0). Goals: Makmudov (72, pen.) - Sudakov (51). Earlier, the Ukrainian national team lost to France with a score of 0:2 in the qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup, which took place at the stadium in Wrocław, Poland.

The Ukrainian goalkeeper is obtaining Norwegian citizenship, which will allow him to play for the local national team and change his status in the country's championship. There were also matches in the World Cup qualifiers, where the Ukrainian national team drew with Azerbaijan and lost to France.
