Dynamics of Online Trade Development
As of December 2025, there were 3,200 companies and 77,400 active sole proprietors in the field of online trade in Ukraine. Over the past year, the number of new sole proprietorship registrations increased by 62% compared to the same period in 2024. The total number of entrepreneurs in the sector rose by approximately one-fifth, indicating positive trends in the development of the online market.
Additionally, there was a recorded increase in the number of newly established legal entities by 6-7% per year. Kyiv remains the leading city in this field, hosting over 50% of all online retail companies. In the third quarter of 2025, no company closures were recorded in the online retail sector. However, 780 companies initiated bankruptcy proceedings in 2025, constituting about 10% of the total business closures.
