A terrible tragedy occurred in the Uman district of Cherkasy region on November 22. A fire in a private house resulted in the death of four children. According to the State Emergency Service, the fire quickly engulfed the house where the children were.
After localizing the fire over an area of 56 square meters, rescuers found the remains of three children and a fragment of the body of the fourth. Another child suffered burns and poisoning from combustion products and was hospitalized.
The causes of the house fire are currently being investigated. The incident has already been registered as a local level emergency. The tragedy in Cherkasy region has become yet another dramatic chapter in a series of fires that have resulted in human casualties.
