Donald Trump at the summit in Alaska handed over demands to Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the situation in Ukrainian territories. Specifically, Trump suggested freezing the front line if Ukrainian troops withdraw from the Donetsk region. However, Volodymyr Zelensky rejected this demand, as reported by Reuters.

“Zelensky rejected this demand,” - cited sources told Reuters.

Additionally, Trump and Putin agreed on other aspects, such as land transfers and security guarantees for Ukraine. It was also noted that if a trilateral meeting involving Ukraine, the US, and Russia does not take place or does not yield results, Zelensky is ready to demand stronger sanctions against Russia.

As a result of the negotiations between Trump and Putin, questions arose regarding the conditions for a peaceful resolution of the situation in eastern Ukraine and Russia's future influence over this country.
