Exit of the USA from international organizations
President of the USA Donald Trump signed a memorandum on the exit of the United States from 66 international organizations, considering their activities incompatible with the national interests of the USA. This decision may have significant consequences for international relations and cooperation in various fields.
Organizations from which the USA is exiting
According to the memorandum, 35 organizations not part of the UN are to be exited, as well as 31 UN institutions. Among these organizations are:
- European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats
- International Institute for Justice and Rule of Law
- Commission on Environmental Cooperation
- International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)
- Venice Commission
- UN Framework Convention on Climate Change
The USA is also exiting the Ukrainian Scientific and Technological Center (UkrSTC), established in the early 1990s. This decision may affect scientific collaboration between participant countries and technology exchange. The Venice Commission, which is an advisory body of the Council of Europe and specializes in constitutional law issues, is also on the list of organizations from which the USA is exiting.
Moreover, the international residual mechanism for criminal tribunals established by the UN is also subject to exit. This decision by Trump will provoke discussions among the international community regarding the future cooperation and participation of the USA in global projects.
The exit of the USA from such organizations may lead to a decrease in their effectiveness and influence on the international stage.

Furthermore, this could provoke other countries to reconsider their participation in these structures, which in turn may lead to changes in global political and economic alliances. It is important to monitor the reaction of the international community to these changes, as they may impact multilateral cooperation on key issues such as ecology, justice, and security.
