U.S. President Donald Trump has commented on the potential length of a conflict with Iran, stating it could last several weeks. He confirmed the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which resulted from a joint high-tech operation conducted by the United States and Israel. Trump remarked,

"It was always a four-week process. We estimated it would take about four weeks."
He further added,
"No matter how strong it is, it's a big country, it will take four weeks—or less."

According to reports, 30 bombs were dropped on the complex where Ali Khamenei was located. Israeli media state that the Ayatollah was almost certainly killed in the airstrike. Journalist Amit Segal noted that it was the Israeli Air Force that struck the facility housing the Iranian leader.
