Details of Trump and Zelensky's Phone Discussion
During a recent phone call, Donald Trump appealed to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to stop attacks targeting Russian oil refineries, citing concerns over escalating global diesel prices. This conversation took place amid intensified fighting in Ukraine, including a Sunday strike by Ukrainian forces on a Moscow-based refinery. Scheduled Meeting at the UN General Assembly
Zelensky announced plans for a face-to-face meeting with Trump at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, set for Tuesday. The meeting was arranged by Rustem Umerov, head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service. Zelensky emphasized the significance of their dialogue, stating:

Trump recently approved legislation imposing sanctions on Russia and endorsed the largest arms deal to Ukraine since his presidency began.
