Trump prepares for meeting with Putin in Alaska

U.S. President Donald Trump plans to call Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders after his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska. He made this statement in an interview with Fox News radio.

'I believe that now he (Putin) is convinced that he will reach an agreement. He will reach an agreement. I think he will do it. And we will find out - I will find out very quickly,' Trump said.

The U.S. president also warned that he would impose sanctions if the meeting with Putin is not successful, estimating the likelihood of such an outcome at 25%. At the same time, Trump evaded a question about the possibility of offering economic incentives to end the war.

'Well, I would prefer not to talk about it because I don't want to reveal my cards publicly, but whatever my cards are, economic incentives - and perhaps deterrents - are in a sense more important,' explained the head of the White House.

Trump also shared that what interests him most is 'an immediate peace agreement,' and if progress is made during the meeting with Putin, he will call Zelensky to 'get him where we are going to meet.' The U.S. leader also noted that he has ideas for the meeting venue and expressed hope for a successful outcome of the negotiations.

During his last meeting with Putin in Alaska, Trump will discuss a possible agreement and take steps to ensure a successful outcome. He also plans to reach out to the President of Ukraine and other European leaders for further actions after the meeting with his Russian counterpart.
