A freestyle skier's appeal to the International Ski Federation
Freestyle skier Anastasia Tatalina asked the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) to allow her to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games. Tatalina is a member of the Russian army club CSKA, which is linked to Russia's military activities in Ukraine.
“I represent Russia, and I was proud when President Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin) sent me a telegram after winning the World Championship,” she said.
Tatalina holds to the slogan 'we do not abandon our own' and continues to engage in sports.
The events in Derbent are an example of how conflicts in personal life can lead to tragic consequences. At the same time, the skier's appeal to FIS emphasizes her desire to continue her sports career and participate in the most prestigious competitions.
