Portugal’s national team manager, Roberto Martinez, has initiated discussions with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Martinez intends to step down from his role with the national team following the conclusion of the World Cup. Roberto Martinez’s Coaching Career
Martinez took charge of the Portuguese national side in 2023, having previously managed Belgium from 2016 to 2022. The Spanish tactician’s greatest achievement to date is guiding Belgium to a third-place finish at the 2018 World Cup. At the club level, he has worked exclusively in English football, coaching Swansea City, Wigan Athletic, and Everton. During the 2012/13 season, Martinez led Wigan to an FA Cup victory.
