The third anniversary of the death of Serhii Hotsulyak
January 4, 2023 marks the third anniversary of the death of Colonel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Serhii Hotsulyak. He died while performing his official duties during the demining of territories in the Izium region. Hotsulyak led a group of pyrotechnic works of the special purpose rescue squad in Ternopil region.
Professional Achievements
During his service, Serhii Hotsulyak was repeatedly involved in demining dangerous territories, particularly in Kyiv and Kharkiv regions. Under his leadership, over 70 thousand explosive items were destroyed, which confirms his high professionalism and dedication to the cause. The tragedy occurred near a gas facility in the Izium region, where Hotsulyak died as a result of an explosion while carrying out an important mission to ensure the safety of citizens.
In memory of Serhii Hotsulyak, a Book of Memory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system has been created in Ukraine, where they honor heroes who laid down their lives for the safety and peace of citizens. His professional achievements and bravery will remain in the memory of colleagues and all who knew him.
