Протягом трьох днів тривають пошуки чоловіка, який зник під час спроби переплисти річку Дніпро.

Search Continues for Missing Man in Vyshhorod

Rescue teams in Vyshhorod, Kyiv region, are now in their third day of searching for a man who disappeared after attempting to swim across the Dnipro River. The incident occurred at a local beach on Naberezhna Street, where the man was last seen entering the water before vanishing from sight. The Dnipro is one of Europe's major rivers, and its currents can be deceptively strong.

The Vyshhorod District Police Department alerted the local rescue service to the disappearance. Rescuers have conducted an aerial reconnaissance using an unmanned aerial vehicle, but the initial scan of the water's surface failed to locate the individual. The dive team from the Main Interregional Rapid Response Rescue Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has now been deployed to assist in the underwater search operation.

Separate Incident on Bypass Channel

In a separate incident on a bypass channel near the village of Lebedivka in Vyshhorod district, a UAZ vehicle carrying two men broke through the ice while being driven on the frozen waterway. Search efforts for the missing man in the river continue, with rescue workers holding out hope for a positive outcome.

These back-to-back emergencies highlight the significant dangers associated with aquatic recreation, particularly in winter when ice conditions are unpredictable. Such incidents serve as a stark reminder of the critical importance of adhering to water safety protocols at all times of the year.

Search and rescue operations in these scenarios typically demand substantial resources and coordinated efforts from emergency services, underscoring their vital role in public safety.
