In Odesa, from May 26 trisected trams will resume operations, which have not been on the routes for more than half a year. The return of the substantial electric transport occurs against the backdrop of the gradual restoration of the city's energy system after Russian attacks. This is reported by Odesa Life.
Which trisected trams are returning to Odesa
The so-called 'long' wagons will return to the routes:
- four modern Odissey Max trams;
- 13 K1T306 wagons.
This transport Odesa has received over the years 2023-2025.
The last time trisected trams carried passengers was on November 15, 2025.
Why trams in Odesa were not operating for half a year
After massive Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure in December 2025, public transport in the city was effectively halted.
Trams and trolleybuses stopped operating due to power supply issues, and the restoration of the system is still ongoing.
For now, trisected wagons will operate with restrictions. According to transport analysts, two wagons will currently run only on route No. 7k '28th Brigade Street - Starosinna Square'.
Experts note that even the partial return of significant electric transport indicates the gradual restoration of Odesa's transport system after the energy crisis.
Recall that on May 23 Russian forces launched a missile strike on the civilian infrastructure of Odesa region, resulting in nine injuries, including three children aged eight to twelve years.
