The conflict in eastern Ukraine, ongoing since 2014, remains a major flashpoint in European security.

The Abu Dhabi negotiations reflect the parties' stated desire for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, which is vital for regional stability and international security. The composition of the Ukrainian delegation suggests a serious intent to achieve constructive outcomes. This latest diplomatic effort could become a pivotal stage in attempts to de-escalate and normalize the situation in Donbas.
