In June of this year, 98 people drowned in Ukraine's water bodies, including eight children. These conclusions were made public by the State Emergency Service. In just the last week, nine people have lost their lives due to water, including two children.
According to rescuers, the drowning of a 13-year-old boy in Kharkiv region became one of the most tragic events. The boy went missing while swimming in the river, and his body was found underwater.
It is reported that since the beginning of 2025, a total of 467 people have drowned, including 28 children.
Most of these tragedies occur due to violations of basic safety rules: swimming in dangerous places, being in the water while intoxicated, or without adult supervision. Rescuers urge citizens to be very careful while resting on the banks of water bodies.
In most cases, people drown due to their own carelessness. When near water, be extremely attentive and responsible!

Carelessness and frivolousness can lead to tragic consequences, so follow all recommendations from rescuers and take care of your life and the lives of your loved ones.
