Emergency event in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv
On January 7, an emergency event occurred in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv: during the movement of a trolleybus on Sofiivska Street, the road surface collapsed, causing the trolleybus to end up in a pit. The incident caused significant inconvenience for passengers and other participants in the traffic.
The call time to the rescue service was recorded at 09:52. Rescuers, CARs specialists, and road maintenance workers quickly arrived at the scene. Pneumatic cushions, as well as electric and hydraulic tools, were used to extricate the trolleybus from the hole. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the rescue services, there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the incident.
Transportation difficulties
Traffic from the intersection with Volodymyrska Street was blocked, creating additional difficulties for drivers. To alleviate the situation, temporary bus route No. 16-K was organized to help passengers reach their destinations. All services continue to work on restoring the normal functioning of traffic in this area.
