Ukrainian musician, leader of the band Adam Mykhailo Klymenko passed away at the age of 39 after a serious illness - tuberculous meningitis. His condition was very severe, he was in a coma for several months and, unfortunately, could not overcome this disease. This was reported by the publication «Glavkom».
Tuberculous meningitis: what is it?
Tuberculous meningitis is a severe form of tuberculosis, when the Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria enters the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord. This disease develops slowly and can have serious consequences compared to other types of meningitis.
Symptoms and stages of the disease
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, tuberculous meningitis has several stages. The first phase is characterized by headache, fever, and altered consciousness. Subsequent stages can be more complex, severe, and lead to serious complications, including coma and paralysis.
How to prevent the disease?
Experts recommend starting treatment as soon as possible, as early diagnosis and therapy are important for recovery. Vaccination against tuberculosis and regular medical examinations can help prevent this rare but dangerous disease.

Mykhailo Klymenko passed away on December 7, 2025, after a tough battle with tuberculous meningitis. His farewell will take place at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and at the cemetery in the village of Lubyanka.
