Weather Update for November 3

On the night and morning of November 3, dense fog is expected to settle over the Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Luhansk regions. Visibility during this period will be reduced to between 200 and 500 meters, which could significantly hinder transportation safety.

The fog has been classified as a Level I, yellow hazard warning. Both drivers and pedestrians are urged to exercise extra caution and take the weather conditions into account when planning travel within these areas.

Safety Tips for Drivers and Pedestrians

These foggy conditions increase the risk of traffic accidents due to limited visibility. Drivers should:

  • reduce their speed;
  • turn on fog lights;
  • maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.

Pedestrians are advised to remain vigilant, especially during nighttime hours. Fog can obscure visibility, making it crucial to stay alert on the roads.

Fog is a common occurrence in these regions during late autumn, often causing challenges for daily commuters and transport services.

As foggy conditions persist, it is essential to remain informed about similar weather events across the country. Recently, fog was forecasted in Western Ukraine, leading to similar visibility challenges and potential transportation disruptions. Staying updated can help you better navigate these hazardous conditions.
