Residency Permit Revoked
A Turkish citizen, Yildiz Ugur (born 1968), has had his permanent residency permit in Ukraine revoked after assaulting a Ukrainian woman, Natalia Ivanivna (born 1958). The decision was made by the Strategic Investigations Department in the Odesa region, based on a submission related to an incident that occurred on June 13, 2026, on Deribasivska Street in Odesa.
Ugur committed a criminal offense involving physical violence, severely disrupting public order through actions reflecting clear disrespect for society. According to the Odesa Regional Migration Service, the attacker displayed particular audacity during the conflict. Both individuals involved in the incident filed statements with the police.
Aftermath of the Incident
As a result, authorities declared the permanent residency permit invalid, confiscated it, and destroyed it. In addition to this, Ugur serves as the director of the Turkuaz restaurant.
This case highlights the importance of maintaining public order in Ukraine and the accountability of foreign residents living in the country. The revocation of a permanent residency permit is a severe measure, demonstrating zero tolerance for violence and criminal behavior, regardless of the perpetrator's nationality. Such an approach can shape the perception of foreigners in Ukraine and their compliance with local laws.
