The Turkish city of Fethiye has rolled out a new advertising campaign aimed at drawing in more visitors. Launched in July, the initiative spans London’s entire transit network and targets British travelers as well as a broader international audience. Osman Çıralı, president of the Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that
the primary goal is to boost tourist traffic to the region.
Located in southwestern Turkey, between Antalya, Bodrum, and the island of Rhodes, Fethiye is known for its historical landmarks and scenic beaches. Key tourist attractions in Fethiye include:
- the old town of Paspatur
- the ancient Lycian rock tombs of Amyntas
- Ölüdeniz Beach and its lagoon
- Butterfly Valley Beach
- Çalış Beach
A budget-friendly stay in Fethiye costs between $40 and $60 per day, while a more comfortable trip runs from $70 to $120 daily. Three-star hotels start at around $40 per night, with four- and five-star accommodations beginning at $80 per night.
It is worth noting that Turkey does not require foreign tourists to submit biometric data upon arrival. Most visitor complaints in the country involve scams rather than violent crime, which could make Fethiye a more appealing travel destination.
