Awareness Drive Against Gambling Addiction Across Ukraine

The Responsible Gaming Center has introduced a public information initiative aimed at curbing the spread of gambling addiction in Ukraine. As part of the effort, banners featuring QR codes have been installed in 17 regions across the country. Scanning the codes leads to a practical guide developed together with PlayCity. The guide offers advice on spotting warning signs of gambling addiction, steps to take if a problem has already developed, and ways to help relatives or friends.

What the Campaign Includes

The banners are placed in city streets, metro stations, and railway terminals. The campaign is built around real-life stories from individuals who have dealt with ludomania. Through the QR-coded guide, people can learn how to recognize when gambling is becoming uncontrollable, what to do once the issue has emerged, and how to support themselves or someone close to them. The initiative seeks to broaden public understanding of gambling addiction and provide assistance to those affected by it.

This initiative marks a meaningful step in Ukraine's efforts against gambling addiction. It goes beyond simply sharing information, giving people concrete resources to identify and address the problem. Raising awareness about this social issue may help prevent many individuals from falling into similar difficulties. Continued campaigns of this kind are essential, as gambling addiction can have severe effects on personal well-being and health. Gambling addiction, also known as ludomania, is a recognized behavioral disorder that can harm anyone, making early detection and support especially important.
