On Sunday, July 6, an incident occurred in the Baltic Sea - a helicopter fell between the islands of Vilsandi and Saaremaa. Fortunately, all the people on board survived, not coming under threat. This news was spread by publications 'Glaokom' and ERR.
Emergency landing and rescue
According to preliminary data released by the Police and Border Guard Department, the aircraft lost altitude while in the clouds. It then touched the water and made an emergency landing. The helicopter flipped over but did not sink, remaining on the surface thanks to automatic floats.
There were seven people on board - five adults and two minors. They all managed to get out of the cabin and waited for help, remaining on the helicopter's hull. Maritime rescuers took the victims to the port of Vikasti, where a preliminary examination showed that none required medical assistance.
As a result of the accident, all those affected were saved, and no one sustained serious injuries. The further circumstances of this incident remain unknown.
