In Berlin, during the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Germany, a meeting took place between Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Johannes Vadeful:

"I expressed gratitude to Germany for its support of Ukraine's security and resilience, for financial assistance and support for recovery, as well as for work on the use of frozen Russian assets. We recognize Germany's role in the development of the Ukrainian and European agenda, as well as its support for Ukraine's membership in the EU."

"We agreed on further joint steps to strengthen Ukraine's defense capability, achieve a just and lasting peace, and advance our accession to the EU," noted Sybiha.

"I also informed my German colleague about the latest events in the peace process, particularly the results of consultations between the Ukrainian and American negotiating teams in Berlin. Together with Germany, we will continue to protect our citizens and strengthen security in Europe."

During the meeting, the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Germany discussed issues of cooperation in defense, the peace process, as well as support for Ukraine's path to membership in the European Union. Both ministers expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation and joint steps in ensuring security and stability in the region.
