70-Year-Old Minibus Driver Robbed in Bila Tserkva; Suspect Faces Decade in Prison

Police in Bila Tserkva have formally charged a 37-year-old man with robbing a 70-year-old minibus driver. The suspect, who has a prior criminal record, carried out a brazen assault on the elderly man in the city. Investigators also believe the same individual is responsible for a shoplifting incident at a local store, which occurred just one day before the robbery.

Investigation Status

The suspect was detained following standard legal procedures. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Bila Tserkva District Prosecutor's Office. He has been charged with open theft of another's property under Part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A separate criminal proceeding has also been initiated for the shoplifting incident under Part 4 of Article 185 of the same code.

The crimes carry a potential sentence of up to 10 years of imprisonment. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances, taking all necessary steps to clarify every detail of the event.
