In Bila Tserkva, it is proposed to raise the cost of a city bus trip from 25 to 30 UAH. Like the carriers in Ivano-Frankivsk, local transport companies have approached for a tariff review. The new price has not yet been approved. This is reported by Znai.ua.
The project concerns public city bus routes of the Bila Tserkva community. If approved, one trip will cost an additional 5 UAH, or 20%. There is currently no specific date for the introduction of the new tariff.
Why is the fare in Bila Tserkva proposed to be 30 UAH
The review of transportation costs was initiated by three companies: LLC “TRANSITII”, LLC “EPITRANS”, and LLC “Bila Tserkva Bus Park”. Their requests were taken into account during the preparation of the executive committee’s draft decision.
The main argument is the increase in fuel and lubricant prices. The explanation to the document mentions the need to align the tariff with the costs of carriers and ensure the stable operation of buses.
The rise in fuel prices affects transportation in other regions as well. In particular, buses in Lviv region are becoming more expensive on suburban and intercity routes. Meanwhile, there is no uniform new tariff for the entire region: prices depend on the carrier and route.
How much will passengers pay extra per month
The preliminary review of the tariff in Bila Tserkva took place at the end of July 2026. At that time, the fare increased from 20 to 25 UAH. If the 30 UAH fare is approved now, the total increase compared to the previous price will be 10 UAH, or 50%.
For a passenger who travels twice a day over 22 working days, costs will rise from 1100 to 1320 UAH per month. This is an additional 220 UAH, not including transfers and weekend trips. Under the 20 UAH tariff, the same schedule cost 880 UAH.
The publication of the project does not yet mean the introduction of a new price: a final decision from the executive committee is needed. For comparison, the current fare in Odesa is 25 UAH in private city routes. Proposals from carriers for more expensive tickets do not automatically change the tariff.
