Ukrainian defense forces launched a missile strike on the microelectronics enterprise 'Silicon El' in Bryansk. The attack utilized air-launched Storm Shadow missiles. The facility plays a crucial role in the production of Russian precision weapons. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to military sources, Ukrainian units attacked the facility as part of operations to reduce Russia's military-economic potential.
The 'Silicon El' plant is a key link in the production of electronic components for modern weapon systems. The enterprise specializes in semiconductors and integrated circuits used in military technology.
In particular, the plant's products are used in:
- missile systems 'Iskander';
- drones;
- other types of precision weapons.
The General Staff reported that as a result of the strike, the object was hit and significant damage to production facilities was recorded. The final scale of the damage is currently being assessed.
Consequences of the attack on the plant in Bryansk
According to OSINT analysts from ASTRA, at least one missile hit the assembly workshop of the enterprise. After the strike, a fire broke out on the territory of the plant.
Local residents reported severe destruction on the premises and damage to the administrative building.
The Governor of Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, stated that during the missile attack, people were killed and there are injuries. According to him:
- six people were killed;
- another 37 were injured.
The official also urged residents of the Soviet district of Bryansk to close their windows and avoid going outside due to smoke from the fire.
It is noteworthy that on the night of April 17 to 18, 2025, an explosion occurred in the Russian city of Bryansk involving leading Russian designer Evgeny Ritykov.
