Russian terrorists struck Cherkasy with drones
On the night of December 18, Russian terrorists launched a drone attack in the city of Cherkasy. This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets.
As a result of the attack, the enemy damaged the civilian infrastructure of the city, causing harm to local facilities.
“Drone attack on the regional center. There are consequences for the infrastructure. All services are working. More information will follow. The threat still exists. Be careful,” wrote Taburets.
It is worth noting that earlier, the city of Cherkasy had already experienced a rocket strike, resulting in damage to city cemetery No. 4.
In a comment to Suspilne, the Mayor of Cherkasy, Anatoliy Bondarenko, hypothesized that the target of the attack might have been the Alley of Heroes, where over 300 graves were destroyed.
Drone attacks in Kharkiv region
At the end of November, the city of Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region also experienced an attack using drones by Russian occupiers. This was reported by the city mayor, Halyna Minaieva.
Unfortunately, as a result of the attack, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged, as well as an apartment building, although there were no casualties among residents.
Attacks on cities in Ukraine continue
Recently, such attacks have also become a threat for other cities in Ukraine. For example, in Kharkiv and Balakliia, Russian terrorists carried out similar drone attacks.
In Kharkiv, missile strikes were recorded in a high-rise building and near a medical facility, where buildings and vehicles were damaged, and possibly a doctor was injured.
In Balakliia, as a result of the attack, three people were killed, and another 10 were injured, among them children.
Ukrainian cities continue to face drone attacks from Russian terrorists, leading to damage to civilian infrastructure and loss of life. Besides Cherkasy, Kharkiv, and Balakliia, other settlements are also at risk, indicating the need for enhanced defense and security measures across all regions of the country.
