In Cherkasy, new fares for private transport buses have been approved after a previous review of fare costs. A trip will cost 30 hryvnias when paid by card or phone and 33 hryvnias for a paper ticket. This is reported by the Cherkasy City Council.
Bus fares in Cherkasy: new tariffs in October 2026
The executive committee of the city council made the decision on October 28. It concerns urban bus routes for public use served by private carriers.
The cost of a single trip will be:

30 UAH when paid by bank card or phone via Apple Pay or Google Pay;

33 UAH for a paper ticket.
The Department of Transport Infrastructure and Ecology explained the increase in prices due to rising fuel costs. The decision takes effect the day after its publication on the city council's website.
The rise in fuel prices has also led to increased bus fares in Lviv region, where carriers reported price rises for suburban and intercity trips by 10-15%.
Cost of travel in Cherkasy: how prices changed throughout 2026
Prior to the new decision, a bus trip cost 25 hryvnias regardless of the payment method. Thus, for passengers with a card, the price will increase by 5 hryvnias, or 20%, while a paper ticket will rise by 8 hryvnias, or 32%.
This is not the first fare review this year. Since March 14, passengers paid 20 hryvnias in cash and 16 hryvnias via the validator. Since May 20, a unified price of 25 hryvnias was set.
For two trips a day over 22 working days, a passenger will spend 1320 hryvnias when paying by card or 1452 hryvnias for paper tickets. The difference will be 132 hryvnias per month without considering transfers.
In Cherkasy, the fare in trolleybuses is 20 hryvnias as per the executive committee's decision from September 23. By comparison, fares for electric transport in Odesa are 15 hryvnias, while private minibuses are 25 hryvnias.
