Today, August 27, a new air alarm system, differentiated, has started in the Chernihiv region. As noted by 'Glavkom', the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, reported this.

The differentiated notification system differs from the previous one in that it provides signals only for a specific city or area where there is a specific threat. Currently, this system is still operating in test mode.

Some regions are already using a similar system, particularly Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kyiv regions. The main goal of the innovation is to reduce the duration of alarms and avoid unnecessary interruptions, such as stopping public transport when there is no threat to the entire region.

On the night of August 20, in Poltava region, during an air alarm, there was a failure in the notification system, which mistakenly declared a radiation threat.

According to reports, the 1281st day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine is ongoing. Yesterday, the enemy conducted two missile strikes and 64 air strikes, launched two missiles and 109 guided bombs. There were also 4,625 shellings, including 21 from multiple launch rocket systems, and 3,891 kamikaze drones were involved in the attacks. The aggressor targeted the areas of the settlements of Stara Huta (Sumy region), Bilohirya, Preobrazhenka (Zaporizhzhia region), and Antonivka (Kherson region).

The Chernihiv region has launched a new differentiated air alarm system that aims to ensure fast and effective notification of threats for specific settlements or areas, avoid unnecessary alarms, and prevent undue panic among residents. Additionally, in the context of the ongoing war in the east of the country, this system will allow for prompt responses to possible threats and timely protection of people from danger.
