Public transport in Chernihiv: how many passengers were transported by buses and trolleybuses
In six months, trolleybuses transported 8.22 million passengers. Of these:
-
4.78 million were paid;
-
3.44 million were subsidized.
During this time, trolleybuses made almost 159.7 thousand trips.
Buses transported 11.53 million passengers in the same period, of which 6.78 million paid for the fare, while another 4.75 million used the right to free travel. In total, buses made over 240.8 thousand trips.
The transportation department emphasizes that the consistently high share of subsidized transportation indicates a significant social burden on the city's public transport system and the need for further financial support.
