A tragic incident occurred in Chernivtsi on Hoholnaya Street: a minibus caught fire while moving due to problems with the braking system. Fortunately, there were no passengers in the cabin at that moment, and the driver tried to extinguish the fire before the rescuers arrived.
On the morning of September 8, the Special Line 101 received a message from eyewitnesses about smoke in one of the city's minibus vehicles moving along the street in the direction of the Depot. Rescuers extinguished the fire covering an area of 2 square meters and saved the bus from the spread of fire to a larger area. Fortunately, there were no passengers in the cabin.
According to the State Emergency Service, the cause of the fire was due to problems with the bus's brakes. This is not the first similar case: earlier on the Kyiv-Chop highway, a fire also occurred in a minibus, but at that time it was possible to avoid injuries among passengers.
Bus fires are a serious problem that can threaten people's lives. It is important for drivers to monitor the technical condition of their vehicles, and regular checks of the braking system should be mandatory to prevent similar situations.
